1. Legal sanctions will be imposed on drivers who bypass the red light: Under the subject of dangerous driving the driver shall be punished by imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or a fine not exceeding RO500.
2. It may include both fine or imprisonment if the driver is found to be over-speeding, reckless or under the influence of substances or overtaking in a manner that will endanger the lives of persons.
3. If the acts of drivers result in the death of a person or prevent him from work for more than ten days, the punishment shall include an imprisonment for a period not less than one year and more than five years, or also include the withdrawal of the license plates numbers or cancellations of the driver’s licence.
4. Changing of lanes both at traffic intersections or even in the streets and lanes that would harass road users, and create traffic confusion or not following proper road manners will include a fine of RO35.
