The Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre (OCEC) has confirmed that it will be hosting the Oman Bride Show 2016 from April 27 to 30, organised by leading local exhibition organising company East Expo. Set to be the Sultanate’s biggest wedding event, the show will showcase an array of bridal products and services – from fashion, make-up and jewellery to flowers, transport, entertainment and venues.
Welcoming the exciting new addition to the OCEC’s busy forward calendar, Trevor McCartney, the OCEC’s General Manager commented, “The OCEC will give the Oman Bride Show 2016 invaluable exposure, bringing a host of significant possibilities for its exhibitors locally, regionally and globally. This will also allow us to present the OCEC as a venue for weddings in our own Grand and Junior Ballrooms, which together can accommodate 1,990 guests; 1,390 in the former, the largest ballroom space in Oman, and 600 in the latter.”
“OCEC’s advanced facilities are the perfect platform for the debut of a new edition of The Oman Bride Show 2016,” remarked Eyad Bdeir, General Manager of East Expo. “The exceptional venue’s flexible exhibition space is ideal to showcase the many and varied aspects of the bridal industry and the expert OCEC team fully understand the complex needs of events of this calibre, ensuring a highly successful show. The show will be held during the period from 27 – 30 April 2016.”
The Oman Bride Show 2016 will tap into the momentum of Oman’s burgeoning wedding industry, driven by the increasingly sophisticated and aspiring tastes of its young demographic, and the Sultanate’s fast-growing popularity as a wedding tourism destination.
McCartney added, “The launch of Oman’s biggest wedding event in 2016 is extremely well-timed as Omani families are spending more on engagements, weddings and honeymoons than ever before, and wedding tourism is taking off in Oman, with the idyllic setting and opulent ballrooms of the OCEC attracting considerable interest in this regard.”
Indeed, the OCEC General Manager pointed out that the Oman Bride Show 2016 will be an important platform to showcase the Sultanate’s SMEs, placing their specialisations and expertise in the industry spotlight and positioning them alongside prestigious international brands.
